About Scoil Íosagáin
Our Story
Scoil Íosagáin Boys’ Primary School is a Senior Boys’ Primary School, with classes ranging from Second Class to Sixth Class. It is situated in Lower Crumlin in the South Inner City close to Griffith College, St James’s Hospital, Our Lady’s Hospital for Sick Children, Pearse College and Crumlin College.
The children that attend our school come from Crumlin, Drimnagh, Rialto and Harold’s Cross. In Scoil Íosagáin, we seek to allow every child to fulfil his potential. The school community works together to make this aim a reality. We have a committed staff who implement the ERST Ethos in every aspect of school life. Each child is valued, cared for and respected. We celebrate each child’s uniqueness and difference. There is a strong emphasis on the academic school curriculum, which is delivered by a team of dedicated supportive teachers. We also put great emphasis on the holistic development of the child through sport, drama, music, computer skills and involvement in extra-curricular activities.
We are fortunate to have a large school campus which is very well resourced with interactive whiteboards in every classroom computer room, large hall, homework club room, breakfast club room, parent’s room, art room, a project room that we use for cooking and playing, a large yard and a beautiful new library.
