Sports

Our staff are extremely aware of the importance of sport and exercise. A healthy body is a healthy mind! Our students enjoy PE lessons every week in our large yard or in the school hall. In Scoil Íosagáin we are sports mad.

We have an excellent school hurling team. We have matches in Farmer Joe’s field on Thursdays. Many boys play soccer on the yard. Many of our boys enjoy the Fun and Games club every Wednesday in the hall which according to the boys themselves is “ a really fun PE class that lasts really long”.

Boxercise is a very popular club in our school. Every year we send a team of budding athletes to Santry to participate in the Dublin Primary Schools Sports Competition.  Our famous penalty shoot out is the highlight of the boy’s year!
